Justine De Jaegher
CAC

Justine was connected to Anxiety Canada through her involvement with the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF) as an advocate based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Justine was diagnosed with OCD at age 20 and received life-saving treatments of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Since her recovery, she has been dedicated to raising awareness about OCD and working to expand access to evidence-based mental health care.

In 2023 she founded the IOCDF Canada Task Force, hoping to expand the work of the organization in Canada, and helping to facilitate a global partnership between the IOCDF and Anxiety Canada. She has also previously served on the IOCDF Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Council, and as co-chair of the LGBTQIA+ Special Interest Group. Justine is a peer facilitator for her local GOAL support group, organizes annual fundraising walks for OCD, and has spoken publicly about the disorder at conferences, on live streams, and at her church.
